CASSIS WINEMAKERS

TWELVE WINEMAKERS TOTALLY DEVOTED TO THEIR OUTSTANDING TERROIR
CULTIVATE THE VINES ON THE 215 HECTARES OF THE AOC CASSIS VINEYARD.

True goldsmiths of the vine, the Cassis winemakers carefully cultivate the grapes in the unique setting between sea and cliff. The Cassis wine estates, most of which have been in the same families for generations, have ceaselessly sought to protect the vineyards from residential development pressure on the Cassis bay area.  Concerned with protecting their appellation and the environment, the Cassis winemakers are turning to organic farming practices for their vines and work within a sustainable development approach.
In 2012 the Cassis vineyards were included within the borders of the Calanques national Park. The AOC is the only appellation to be entirely included within a national park. This status is an additional protective step and provides long-term protection for the appellation area.
